The purpose and focus of the PCRD youth coed soccer league is to provide recreational opportunities in the sport 1st through 6th graders. Team goals should strive to improve their soccer skills using positive, fun practice methods while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment. Coaches are encouraged to develop age-appropriate practice plans, while teaching their players fundamental soccer skills. At the end of the league their are no trophies won or college scholarships handed out, but we do offer a $40 pizza party reimbursement.
Let coaches coach, parents support their child and officials manage the game. The purpose of this league is to teach sportsmanship, rule knowledge, teamwork, and soccer skills with maximum participation. Please keep in mind this is a recreational offering - FUN is emphasized and takes precedence over winning. The focus of the game should ALWAYS benefit the YOUTH who are participating.
The official at his/her discretion, shall have the authority to eject anyone from the game or premises, which he/she feel are not conducting themselves in an appropriate manner. They will attempt to educate the players regarding the soccer rules, especially offsides which is a tricky rule and changes. If you have concern with the behavior or actions of a parent, spectator, official, participant involved with the PCRD Soccer program, please contact Ted Pettet at 208-452-3542.
COACHES PLEASE REMEMBER WHAT YOU PERMIT, YOU PROMOTE!
