2027 Girls Basketball - Winter 2027

The purpose and focus of the PCRD youth basketball league is to provide recreational opportunities for girls 1st thru 6th grades. Team goals should strive to improve their basketball skills using positive, fun practice methods while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment. Coaches are encouraged to develop age-appropriate and fun practice plans, while teaching their players fundamental basketball skills including shooting, dribbling and passing. 

• Coach's Meeting: Dec 28th at 6pm in the PCRD Conference room
• Practices will start the week of Jan. 6th  
• Game Days:
• Game Locations: New Plymouth, Payette, Fruitland and potentially Parma and Weiser

** Out-of-County fee $30: Applied to all non-residents that live outside of Payette County**

Required equipment: Jersey($30), Non marking court shoes and shorts. PARENTS - Game jersey must be purchased and picked up during business hours at the PCRD office.

2026 Boys Basketball - Winter 2026

The purpose and focus of the PCRD youth basketball league is to provide recreational opportunities for boys 1st thru 6th grades. Team goals should strive to improve their basketball skills using positive, fun practice methods while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment.

• Coach's Meeting: Oct 19th at 6pm in the PCRD conference room
• Practices will start the week of Oct.19th
• Game Days: Nov 7th, 14th, 21st & Dec. 5th, 12th 
• Game Locations: New Plymouth, Payette, Fruitland, and Weiser

** Out-of-County fee $30: Applied to all non-residents that reside outside of Payette County**

 Required equipment: Jersey($30), Non marking court shoes and shorts. Mouth guard (recommended). PARENTS - Game jersey must be purchased and picked up during business hours at the PCRD office.

Roots Academy Girls Skills Workout Program - Winter 2026

PCRD is happy to be partnering with Roots Academy to get started in a basketball youth workout program! 

Roots Academy is hosting a 6 week training program at McCain Middle School on Saturdays starting November 14th. This is a coach-led skills and fundamentals training, plus a 3-on-3 league every session. 

Registration Fees are $85.00 per player

Volunteer coaches! If you are or are looking to be a volunteer coach for PCRD or any league for the future, Roots Academy is offering a training for those that want to coach the upcoming PCRD season. This is free WITH ONE PAID PLAYER REGISTRATION!

6 Saturdays: Nov. 14th, 21st, Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th, and Jan. 9th

1:30-3:30pm @ McCain Middle School in Payette, ID
