Payette County Recreation District provides this activity for those who enjoy volleyball and are interested in participating on an organized level. This is a recreational program and good sportsmanship is mandatory from those who participate.
Coed Volleyball League is played with four people on the grass court. Best two out of three sets will be played. Officiate your own games. Games will be played at Mesa Park on Tuesdays and Wednesdays nights. Minimum 4 teams for the league to start.
All fees and official rosters are due at the time of registration
Teams are responsible for the conduct of spectators who are affiliated with their team. Spectators can be ejected from a game using the same suspension rules as above. Spectators asked to leave the park must leave IMMEDIATELY. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit for the team they are affiliated with.
If children are becoming a distraction to the match or causing damage to the facility in any way, the match will be stopped until the situation has been taken care of. It is the team manager’s responsibility to ensure that children will not provide any distractions or abuse of the facility. Teams can be removed from the league if children are not supervised during the game. Payette County Recreation District encourages teams to bring their children to the games but please keep them supervised.
Game officials and or Payette County Recreation District staff have the authority to eject any individual or team from a game or facility. Grounds for ejection include but are not limited to: Displays of unsportsmanlike conduct, derogatory remarks or gestures, threats of violence, acts of violence, other behavior deemed detrimental to the league. Any player that is playing under the influence of alcohol that could cause injury to themselves or others participate in the game will be removed from the game and serve a one game suspension. This will be determined by the judgment of the official, Site Supervisor, and or Payette County Recreation District employee.
A maximum of four and a minimum of two players are always required on the court. The team line-up does not need to alternate between males and females. You may line up your players any way you like. All players must be listed on the official team roster including signature. Each team can use two “subs” or “pick-up” players during the regular season only. Each team can use one “sub/pick-up” player in two games or two “subs/pick-up” players in one game.
The division will consist of however many teams register, which will determine the amount of regular season games and tournament play. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8-11 games total. Tournament play will be seeding play sets won during the regular season games.
All Idaho High School Federation Volleyball Rules will apply except where amended or stated in this text. All matches will be three games or 55 minutes. Once the 55 minutes is up, the match is over. Each match will consist of 3 sets. League standings will be based on sets won and lost during the season. Sets will be scored using the rally scoring method (A point is scored each serve, regardless of which team served). All 3 sets will be played to 25 points, which must be won by 2 points. There will be a cap of 30 points on all sets. Once a team reaches 13 points in a set, teams will switch sides on the court.
National Federation Highschool Rules will apply to the volleyball league except as state below. The Recreation Department reserves the right to adjust or change league rules at any time when deemed necessary.
